Judy Iott’s Story

For about five years, I did the hair of a lady who had moved here from California. I worked at a shop in Dallas and eventually I started a shop in my home at Salt Creek. The shop in my home gave me the freedom to minister to my clients and through the years I became friends with many. One lady in particular became a close friend, whom I had many conversations with about the Lord.

One day, after coming back home from lunch, we were in a discussion about how we can be assured that we would be in heaven one day. My friend was unsure that we could be certain, so I suggested we sit under the gazebo, while I showed her some bible verses. After going through the plan of salvation (mostly using the Romans road) I felt God was speaking to her heart. So I asked her if she wanted to pray and accept Christ as her savior. Through many tears, and pouring out her heart, she asked Jesus to come into her life. In the past 24 years she never lost her faith despite having many difficulties and a battle with cancer that eventually took her life. I’m assured by God’s word that she is now with Him and experiencing the joys of heaven.

A miracle from the gazebo: God’s power working through an ordinary person, using his extraordinary word, and accomplishing what He wanted to achieve that day. (Isaiah 55:11)

Verses from the “Romans Road” (Romans 3:10; 3:23; 5:12; 6:23; 5:8; 10:13; 10:9,10.)

P.S. – Some verses that this lady sent to Judy that gave her some encouragement about the validity of her faith - (Psalms 116:14-16; Psalms 91:14-16; Isaiah 40; Hebrews 6:16-18; James 1:1-4)
