Luke 10:30-35
Receiving The Stranger

This week's message from Pastor David focused on the story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10, but with a fresh look. Instead of just seeing ourselves as the Good Samaritan, Pastor David invited us to see our role as the innkeeper, looking after the injured traveler. He reminded us that God is like the Good Samaritan, who saves us and brings us into his care, and we as the church have the privilege and duty of caring for these 'rescued strangers' with love and compassion. Pastor David emphasized that in these challenging times of social distancing, we must remain vigilant for ways to extend love and service to others, despite our physical separation. The core message is clear: we are participants in God's rescue mission, empowered to care for others and assured of His rewards for our faithfulness.
